Conservation Values and Landowners’ Needs

Each conservation easement project is unique and individually tailored to the landowner’s specific needs.

We have a dedicated, experienced staff to help our landowners evaluate the attributes of their property and to clarify their conservation goals. Based on thorough research and the benefit of the design of more than 900 easements, our team can assess a given property’s natural characteristics–known as conservation values–and can suggest other ways the land can be protected.

The attributes that qualify as a conservation value can range from critical water quality to simply protecting a scenic vista from the construction of a road – and often many combinations of natural characteristics that the land may possess.
